Sustainable construction

After years of interaction and observation, the project developed for Vila Naiá focused on enhancing local ecosystems and landscapes, with minimal interference. All of our buildings are made using recycled wood and are inspired by the original homes in the area.
Our hotel has implemented a solar energy system on its premises and has a solid waste management, sewage treatment and rainwater collection programs.

Plastic Elimination

With our commitment to preserve the environment, and the consequent elimination of plastic, we offer guests beautiful linen bags and bottles for carrying water, as well as non-polluting amenities.

Preservation of fauna and flora

More than just avoiding impacts, Vila Naiá contributed to the expansion of fauna and flora conservation units in the region, with the creation of the Fazenda Carroula Private Natural Heritage Reserve, a privileged area between the Descobrimento and Monte Pascoal national parks. In addition, our landscaping essentially uses species native to the region.
Our coastline includes the Corumbau Sustainable Extractive Reserve, designed to protect the livelihoods of local coastal communities.

Incentives for the local community

All jobs created by our hotel are reserved for members of the local community, who receive specific training to work in different areas.
Vila Naiá also develops a permanent action to encourage the organization and economic and social inclusion of the community, having even implemented a free access public library, which serves all age groups and covers different levels of interest.
